CPA Guidelines
The Board of Assesors announce that the Community Preservation Act exemption applications are now available.  For exemption from the surcharge, Seniors over 60 and Low Income residents must meet the following guidelines:
        
                Homeowner over 60 whose annual income is less than

                        $55,650 (if one person in household)
                        $63,600 (if two people in household)

                Low Income Homeowner whose annual income is less than

                        $44,520 (if one person in household)
                        $50,800 (if two people in household)
                        $63,600 (if four people in household)


Documentation may be requested to verify income and expenses, such as Income Tax copies, Medical bills, bank accounts, Insurance policies, etc.

Anyone that has questions on eligibility requirements may contact the Assessor's office at 508-894-1212.  The office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday's from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The deadline for filing applications for FY2010 is three (3) months after the Actual Tax bill is mailed.
