Video will “place a name with a face”
WEST BRIDGEWATER – At their meeting of October 6, Selectmen discussed creating a so-called “town-u-mentary” that would act as a resource for residents to learn more about local government and the public officials that serve them. The video, consisting of short segments of voluntary interviews of representatives of various town departments, is expected to last just ten minutes and will be available on the town’s website via YouTube.
“As we continue to modernize and keep up with technology, this video helps us reach out to residents and explain to them a little about what we do and who we are, and to do so in a personable way,” said Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Matthew P. Albanese, who will oversee this endeavor. “It will place a name with a face when the public is working with these officials,” he added.
The video was touted as a “good idea” by all three Selectmen and production will begin shortly.
