A: The fiscal year runs from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.

Q: When is my tax bill due?
A: The Town of West Bridgewater bills both real estate and personal property taxes on a quarterly schedule. Each quarter is due on or as close to the first of the following months:

A: Yes. You can pay the total amount that the town has billed you.

A: You can only pay the total amount the town has billed. You can not pay in anticipation of a future bill. The third and fourth quarter taxes will not be billed until December.

Q: What happens if I do not pay my tax bill on time?
A: Tax payments must be received on or before the due date to avoid interest charges. If payment is not made on time the account will begin to accrue interest at the rate of 14% per diem.

Q: Why should I pay interest on a late payment when I never received my tax bill?
A: Under Massachusetts General Law, failure to receive a bill does not affect the validity of the tax or any interest or fines incurred due to late payment(s). It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to secure his/her tax bill when one is not received.

Q: What should I do if I do not receive my bill?
A: Contact the Tax Collector's office to request a copy of your bill by calling (508) 894-1203.
